In September 1990, Spandau Ballet gathered at Master Rock recording studios in Kilburn, London to record a new track with legendary movie composer and arranger Michael Kamen for a planned Greatest Hits album for that Christmas.

The fruits of that recording session with Kamen best known for his work on Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves, Licence To Kill, Highlander & The Krays featuring Gary & Martin Kemp have never been heard until today.

The song that was recorded was a version of the Simon & Garfunkel classic ‘The Boxer’ written by Paul Simon and taken from the 25 million-selling album ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’. At the time little did the band know that they would not all be in a studio again for 19 years.
