Spandau Ballet’s comeback Reformation Tour extends into 2010 around Europe as the band’s popularity continues to grow following their recent reunion announcement. So much so, that an extra date has been added in Rome on March 2nd.

The European dates were originally scheduled to take place in November but, due to recording commitments and to be able to add in extra European cities, the dates will take place in February and March 2010.

European dates are very important to Spandau Ballet as back in their heyday, they were as popular abroad as they were in their native UK, if not more so! The chance to get back out on the road to revisit their favourite cities was too great to miss. From Italy, Portugal and Spain to Germany and The Netherlands, the band still have a phenomenal fanbase.

As Gary Kemp says “We are sorry that the European fans will have to wait a little longer to see us. We are so excited about going back to countries that were so welcoming to us back when we were starting out and throughout our career. We’ve been having a great time back in the recording studio and want to be able to give all of our fans a taste of what we have been getting so excited about – sadly that means moving the European dates back a short while.”

Spandau Ballet followed their announcement on board HMS Belfast in London with a stand out performance on Jonathan Ross’ BBC TV show, highlighting just how amazing the band are now that they are back together again. Following that, the 5-piece went back into the recording studio for the first time in 19 years, recording for an album to be released in the Autumn.

In order to get the album finished, some European dates have had to be rescheduled. People with tickets for rescheduled gigs should be aware that their tickets will be valid for the new dates in March . For refunds ticket holders should contact the ticket seller.
